Fagus sylvatica (Europe)

Beech is a utilitarian hardwood from mainland Europe with a fine grain, characteristic flecking and a plain off-white colour. Steamed Beech which has a pink colour can generally be obtained to order. Beech works easily to a smooth finish and is popular for most internal joinery, especially worktops (which we can make to order) and kitchen cabinets.
